Nilagang Baka | Beef Bone Stew Ingredients
1kg beef shanks and tendons (cut into serving size/chunks) Water 1 small onion (peeled, diced) Black pepper corns 2 to 3 pcs Banana (Saba) (cut into half) 2 pcs Sweet Corn (cut into 2-3) 1 tablespoon fish sauce 2 medium potatoes (peeled, quartered) 1 small cabbage (quartered) 8 to 10 green/baguio beans Salt Nilagang Baka | Beef Bone Stew Procedure Bring water to a boil Add beef shanks and tendons Remove scum Add onions, black pepper corns, fish sauce, and salt Lower the heat, cover and cook until the beef is tender (around 2-3 hours). Add water as needed Add potatoes, and banana and cook for 4 minutes Add green/baguio beans and cabbage and cook for another 3 minutes or until the vegetables are half cooked Season with salt and fish sauce until desired Serve hot with rice and fish sauce with sliced red chili labuyo
